These terracotta Horticultural Pots are made in Seattle by artist John Weber. Each piece is hand-thrown and hand decorated. They are then dried and fired hotter than most terracotta. This process renders the clay to be very durable. Pots used within a 50 mile radius of Seattle are guaranteed against frost damage for five years. All other areas -- highly frost resistant to 20°F, but not guaranteed. The pots are thrown in a manner to be sturdy and are widely used indoors, as well as outdoors. With care, they will hold up to many years of service. John offers this work to the marketplace with the support of longstanding traditional techniques and strives to bring a contemporary sense of color and design to the work. |
